Lu Hanessian is a veteran television anchor, with more than 25 years of on-air experience; as former NBC Network anchor/host and Discovery Health Channel host, now a media consultant and media literacy advocate, researcher, and writer focused on trauma-informed journalism, with special focus on the changing role of the press, public health, and collective resilience.
For five years, she hosted "Travel, Travel" CTV Network around the world, as well as "The Science Show", syndicated in 110 countries, translated into 17 languages. In 2012-14, Lu hosted "The Learning Lab with Lu" and "This is Your Brain On..." in NYC and taught educational workshops on brain science for teens in the East Village.
